Travel Tips

With the new year comes the move to make changes in your life. Whether big or small, we often make New Year’s resolutions to improve ourselves in the year ahead. Instead of only focusing on personal goals, plan resolutions for the whole family. Gather your loved ones and envision travel goals for the new year. Here are some suggestions for travel inspiration.

Road Trip

A road trip is a perfect family travel option. Whether it’s a cross-country trip or driving to a destination close by, it’s a great opportunity to gather with family near and far. Pick a destination you’ve always wanted to visit or opt for a location equidistant for your group and hit the road!

Special Occasion Trip

Plan a trip to commemorate a special occasion this year. It could be a birthday, anniversary or other life event. Given the number of canceled plans and occasions since 2020, the trip could honor a missed life event, too.

Bucket List Destination

There is no time like the present to plan that bucket list trip! Time with loved ones is precious. This year, finally plan that trip to the destination you’ve always dreamed of visiting.

Experiential Travel

With many worldwide events coming back after pauses in 2020 and 2021, 2022 is a perfect opportunity for planning a trip for an event. Whether it’s a yoga retreat, culinary tour, music festival or other event, book it for this year.

Remote Work

Many of us shifted to fully remote work since 2020. If you’re lucky enough to be able to do your job from anywhere, plan a trip for a change of scenery while you work. Bring the family so you all can enjoy time in a new place without missing a beat at work.

United Airlines Celebrates its First Class of United Aviate Graduates

The 51 students in the graduating class were majority, at 80 percent, women and people of color — another stride toward United’s goal of training 5,000 new pilots by 2030 with half women or POC.
