Families traveling to Niagara Falls can now enjoy the iconic destination from a new perspective on the Niagara Takes Flight experience. Located inside Niagara Parks’ flagship site, Table Rock Center, at the brink of Horseshoe Falls, this immersive and sensory-rich attraction lets visitors see the falls through the eyes of a bird, soaring high above the site.
The ride suspends guests in gondola-style seating, simulating a flight through state-of-the-art motion programming and sensory effects like wind and mist. A 56-foot-wide dome screen stretches below riders’ dangling feet, traversing the falls and Niagara River corridor across all four seasons.
Riders see the falls and river in both day and night, too, flying nearly 35 miles over the attraction. Disney Imagineer Rick Rothschild, who was a principal creator of the world’s first flying theater attraction (Soarin’ Over California) served as creative director on the attraction.
Niagara Takes Flight reveals more than 13,000 years of the region’s remarkable history, dating back to its formation during the last ice age. Filmmaker and explorer James Cameron, raised in Niagara Falls, narrates the Waterfall Room, which details the post-contact history of the falls, highlighting key developments and cultural milestones. The Ancestors Room, near the ride, displays original Indigenous work by Turtle Clan and Mohawk Nation artist Sarah General.
The ride is located at the top floor of Table Rock Center, open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. Admission is $29 for adults and $19 for children.
