“Becoming pet-friendly is a significant enhancement for both new and returning guests, transforming Hawks Cay Resort into an even more appealing destination,” said Tiffiany Holmes, resort director, Hawks Cay Resort. “With Vacay Pup, we’re not only inviting pets; we’re welcoming an integral part of our guests’ families on vacation. This makes it seamless for drive-in travelers to experience the magic of Hawks Cay with their beloved pets in the paradise of the Florida Keys.”
Guests register pets at check-in and receive a Pup Pass bandana to be displayed on the pet or leash. All vaccinations must be up to date for the dog. Two pets for up to seven nights cost a non-refundable $150 per night, with an additional non-refundable $200 cleaning fee for stays longer than five nights. A portion of the fee is donated to a local shelter in the dog’s name.

The Vacay Pup amenity package ensures your beloved pet enjoys the trip of a lifetime with a Pup Nap Time door sign, in-room dog bowl, pup paradise relief bags, a play ball and dog beds upon request. The Pup Paradise Park also opens, featuring an outdoor area for dogs to run and play on pet-protected artificial turf with native shade trees.
At Marketplace, Angler & Ale, and Tiki Beach, guests and their pets find a pet-friendly dining menu created by the food and beverage team and featuring delicacies like roasted pig ears and dog beer.
