“For visitors who have never been on a houseboat before, the Houseboat Hotel experience is ideal for guests who want to enjoy the perks of being on a houseboat, without the stress of piloting one,” said Chad Taylor, director of sales and marketing, LMMA. “The houseboats can remain docked at the marina the entire time so first-time guests can kick back and relax on the lake while hanging out with friends and family.”

Options include two 50-foot vessels with two bedrooms sleeping four people; a 56-foot Getaway Houseboat with four bedrooms sleeping nine guests; and a 59-foot Deluxe Houseboat with four bedrooms sleeping up to 10. Stays include a complimentary half-day deck boat rental that can be enjoyed from 8 a.m. to noon. Air mattresses are available for those who wish to sleep outdoors on the houseboat’s rooftop deck. Check-in time is between 4 and 8 p.m., with a check-out of 4 p.m. at the end of the stay.
