Nassau Cruise Port Hits Milestone: Welcoming 5.6 Million Passengers in 2024

Family travelers cruising through Nassau in 2024 were part of a record-breaking year for Nassau Cruise Port, which once again broke its annual passenger record by welcoming 5.6 million cruise passengers last year. This is the second consecutive year the port experienced milestone growth.

We could not have reached this point without the unwavering support of our stakeholders, including the Government of The Bahamas, our cruise line partners, local businesses, and the community at large. Together, we are shaping the future of Bahamian tourism, and I am excited to see the continued growth of Nassau Cruise Port as a gateway to The Bahamas and a source of opportunity for all.”

In 2023, Nassau Cruise Port welcomed 4.4 million passengers, which was a large improvement over 3.2 million in 2022. The passenger numbers are directly linked to substantial growth in the Bahamian economy. Overall, The Bahamas welcomed approximately 9.1 million visitors last year, meaning 61 percent arrived via cruise ships at Nassau Cruise Port. Nassau Cruise Port has ambitious plans for expansion and improvement underway.
