Princess Cruises offers family travelers numerous home ports to give them access to amazing itineraries and, this July, Boston is joining the family for the 2024/2025 season with a new list of itineraries exploring New England and Canada.
The line’s Boston-based cruises, which start July 14, will let families travel to beautiful ports of call aboard Emerald Princess, a 3,080-passenger capacity ship just refurbished in 2019. The cruises will include seven- and 10-day itineraries that visit destinations like Portland (Maine), and Canadian ports like Halifax, Saguenay and Québec City.
There is also an impressive 17-day itinerary that will include three day-long stops in Greenland so passengers can see massive glaciers and enjoy unique cultural experiences. While most of the itineraries will be round-trips starting and ending in Boston, a few of the 10-day itineraries will end in Québec, giving passengers the perfect chance to spend a few extra days exploring Canada on the back end of their cruise.
With a home port in Boston, these cruise itineraries are especially appealing to families who live within driving distance of the city. This location, easy to access from many parts of the country, makes it possible for families to save on expensive airline tickets, thus freeing up those hard-earned vacation dollars to enjoy more adventures during the trip.
For those flying in for their cruise, starting off in Boston gives families the perfect opportunity to spend a little time before the cruise exploring this historic city. The Liberty Bell, Fenway Park and Boston Tea Party Ships and Museum are just the beginning of the must-see attractions that give just a glimpse into the city’s, not to mention the country’s, history and culture.
By combining this historic port with incredible itineraries, Princess has created the ideal cruise for anyone looking to combine the fun and luxury of cruising with exploring nature, culture and history at some of North America’s most fascinating destinations.
