Learn About Sustainability
Babcock Ranch is powered entirely by the sun, and kids can learn about the future of energy at The Solar Ranch – An FPL Eco-Discovery Center. The center features both augmented reality and hands-on exhibits, as well as an observation tower with views of the 687,000 solar panels powering the town. For families on the road the town also offers multiple electric vehicle charging stations.

Outdoor Adventures
In addition to Babcock Ranch’s impressive sustainability initiatives, the town is also rich in outdoor experiences. The town features six new public parks, including a dog park, totaling more than 313 acres of preserve along Babcock Trail Road in MidTown. Along the 73,000-acre Babcock Ranch Preserve is Babcock Ranch Eco Tours, offering a wilderness journey through the ranch’s history, flora and fauna.

Entertainment Galore
Almost every Friday is Food Truck Friday in Founder’s Square, where a variety of food trucks, live music and more convene for a fun evening. Beyond these days, Founder’s Square is the social hub of the town’s WestTown, located along the edge of Lake Babcock and home to local dining options. The newly opened Shoppes at Yellow Pine, meanwhile, feature both national and local retailers, as well as more restaurants.
