Destinations / North America

The Chatwal Lodge, part of The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, recently debuted three state-of-the-art treehouses as an immersive new lodging option for family travelers. Situated in New York’s Catskills region, the all-inclusive resort opened in spring 2022.

The structures hover 15 feet above ground. Each treehouse accommodates up to four guests and boasts large windows, a king-sized bedroom on the main level, a loft with queen-sized murphy bed, living room with bar, covered balcony and deck with a fire pit. The décor features custom furnishings and eclectic “found pieces” in soothing earth tones. Well-appointed amenities include heated bathroom floors, Nespresso coffee machines, Malin & Goetz bath products, automated master bedroom window shades and fully automated Lutron myRoom controlled lighting.

The new accommodations join the property’s 11 existing suites and cottages.

“The expansion of our accommodations at The Chatwal Lodge to include the newly built Treehouses delivers on our commitment to always putting the guest experience first,” said Aaron Alexandar, general manager, The Chatwal Lodge. “These distinctive, secluded accommodations bring a new standard of immersive luxury to guests, marking a new beginning for our property while still honoring the fascinating history of The Chapin Estate.”

In addition to the treehouses, a pool and spa debut later in 2024.
