The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch should be on your family travel list this spring. Why? Beginning March 1, families can wander through the colorful 55 acres of Giant Tecolote Ranunculus, a flower known for its large, double-petaled blooms. The attraction runs for eight to 10 weeks, typically from early March to early May, and offers a variety of activities like live music performances, workshops and wellness classes.

Expect returning activities and programming. Enjoy live performances by Gainesville The Band, Mariachi Serenata, The Free Collective Brand, Bill Magee, Bayou Brothers and more. Wellness offerings include golden hour Pilates, family yoga, sunset meditation and sound healing, and Flower Flow Yoga. Guests can also participate in fun activities such as flower crown making, tea in the garden, The American Flag Flowers, tractor wagon rides, artist gardens, sweet pea maze and sunset wine tastings.
New this season, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch welcomes its first traveling exhibit, which will serve as a colorful backdrop for Alex Heveri’s Glass in Flight. The exhibit features more than three dozen glass and steel sculptures of beautiful butterflies, dragonflies, bamboo, bees and insects found in the gardens and field.
“This is going to be the most colorful season at The Flower Fields to date,” said Fred Clarke, general manager, The Flower Fields at Carlsbad Ranch. “We can’t wait to see the faces of our guests as they take in the sight of Alex Heveri’s life-like, giant sculptures set against the natural beauty of The Flower Fields.”

For instance, immerse yourself in the humid turmoil of a Durban underground club, or get to grips with the formal group dances of the Scottish Highlands, or become part of the foot-stomping camaraderie of a Galway pub, or ride the waves of neon-lit energy in a Seoul basement nightclub.
