Tough As A Mother: The Perfect Piece for Mother’s Day

Multigenerational

Being a mother is a beautiful part of life many women around the world experience.  We all imagine cute matching outfits with our hair perfectly done playing in a field of flowers with our little ones. We fantasize of all of the good moments that come with motherhood, but we forget about the times we need a little help. From taking care of the soft skin of a newborn to a giggling baby suddenly crying and you can’t figure out how to soothe them, being a mother is beautiful but difficult.

CEO and founder of  Tough as a Mother Tribe Jennifer Cervantes quickly came to find her vision of the perfect, movie-like, day-to-day of motherhood to be more disordered than she thought. “Most days are way messier, louder and chaotic than I ever thought possible” Cervantes said. “But I’m also enjoying my kids, chasing them around pretending to be the tickle monster, laughing with them and picking them up for a hug when they wipe out. That’s real motherhood.”

The tough mom loves her children with all of her heart and found the power of gemstones to get her through those tough times when she needed just a little reminder to stay grounded, take a deep breath and know everything was going to be alright. Right now, there are a variety of gemstone and initial necklaces that can be customized and a bracelet that reads “tough” to remind you that you are strong and beautiful. She hopes her custom-made jewelry unites women around the world facing the ups and downs of motherhood, the grief of a miscarriage or heading back to work for the first time since on maternity leave with their baby’s initials on their neck.

Cervantes wants to normalize the real side of motherhood, saying, “It’s ok that you are stressed, have anxiety and can’t sleep. Let’s talk about it and find a resource instead of just saying you are fine”

Introduce the Family to Saudi Culture at the AlUla Camel Cup

Visiting Saudi Arabia means introducing the family to a country rich in culture and history, giving the kids experiences they won’t get anywhere else in the world. I spent several years living as an expat in this desert kingdom, and the experiences I had were not only completely unique but also helped shape my perspective on the world today.
