Family travelers who love finding ways to celebrate the fall season should mark their calendars with these exciting upcoming fall festivals in Sioux Falls. In a location featuring vibrant fall foliage and apple orchards, Sioux Falls features various events to enjoy the new season.

 

Pumpkin Festival at Riverview Christmas Tree Farm

Bring family and friends to this pumpkin festival, held Sept. 24–25, Oct. 1–2, 8–9 and 15–16. This festival includes pumpkin picking, kids’ activities, live music, farm animals, the Great South Dakota Pumpkin Weigh-Off, fall treats, food and concessions, shopping and more. Admission is free and tickets for the Haunted Trail, running Oct. 1 and 8, are $10 for those aged 9 and older and $8 for those aged 8 and under.

Fall Festival at Country Apple Orchard

Running every weekend for all of September and October, this fall festival offers great attractions and entertainment for the whole family. In addition to pony rides, zip lines and a giant hay maze, the festival also features an apple cannon range, two 90-foot jumping pillows, a petting zoo, 120-foot-long corn put and the Country Apple Beer Garden. Take family photos, pick a bag of apples in the orchard and choose among some delicious sweets and pies at Country Candy Store. Admission is $13 per person and kids under 35 inches are free.

 

Harvest Festival at Wilde Prairie Winery

Adults and children can have fun at this festival Oct. 1. Wilde Prairie Winery’s annual Harvest Festival includes wine for the adults, as well as food trucks and vendors for all. For kids, the festival features games, a bounce house, Grand A Alpacas, face painting and pumpkin painting. Food trucks and vendors include Tacos de Gringo, Lovely Design, Scott’s Bird Houses, Andrea’s Bake Shop and Meg Designs.
