Thanks to a recent study by luxury travel experts Kuoni, travelers don’t have to look far to discover the United States’ top five most searched-for bucket-list experience this year.
In 2023, the study found the United States’ top five most-searched-for bucket-list experiences are:
- Visit Mount Rushmore
- Visit the Kentucky Derby
- Visit Yosemite
- Visit the Maldives
- Visit the Museum of Modern Art in New York City
- Visit the Las Vegas Strip
The study even breaks down each state’s top travel bucket-list item. For instance, the majority of the states put visiting Mount Rushmore as their top experience, while states like California, Arkansas, Alaska and Alabama hope to visit the Maldives.
Kuoni also analyzed Google search data from more than 215 countries to unveil the world’s most popular travel bucket-list items. The study found the top 10 most searched-for bucket-list items worldwide are:
- Visit the Maldives
- Get splashed at Niagara Falls
- See the Mona Lisa
- Visit Bora Bora
- Climb the Statue of Liberty
- See the northern lights
- Visit Stonehenge
- Visit the Taj Mahal
- See Times Square
- See the Burj Khalifa in Dubai
Globally, the United States boasts three of the top 10 most popular bucket-list experiences.
