Take family travel to Hawai’i this May to celebrate Mother’s Day. Two of Hawai’i’s most luxurious hotels, The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort and ESPACIO The Jewel of Waikiki, shower moms with the spirit of aloha with celebrations all weekend long.

The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort

Situated on Hawai’i’s beautiful Big Island, The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort is set to host a Mother’s Day Brunch featuring live music from Hawai’ian singer Anuhea. On May 12, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., resort guests are invited to a brunch buffet featuring a variety of dishes prepared by the resort’s award-winning culinary team. Options include a raw bar, sushi counter, griddle station with Belgian waffles and ube pancakes, omelets, a carving table with prime rib and suckling pig, and a dessert station.

ESPACIO The Jewel of Waikiki

This award-winning, ultra-luxe hotel is celebrating moms all weekend long beginning with Afternoon Tea on May 11. Treat mom to a refined tea service with a wide selection of teas curated by Tea Leaves, exclusively for ESPACIO; a glass of Laurent Perrier Cuvée Rosé; and a variety of small bites and pastries. The hotel’s fine-dining restaurant, Mugen, will host a Sunset Champagne & Caviar experience on the rooftop. Enjoy stunning views of the Pacific Ocean while munching on delicious treats. On Mother’s Day morning, treat mom to an elevated breakfast experience at Mugen.

Some of Europe’s Best Day Cruises

A week cruising along the Danube or the Rhine may be the stuff of dreams for many, but family travelers can enjoy views from the water in ways kinder to the family budget. Many riverside cities offer scenic cruises, and some Baltic or Mediterranean ports have daytrips to nearby islands or coastal attractions. In several cities you can cruise the canals, and in Switzerland you can spend a day cruising on Lake Geneva, with sightseeing stops in lakeside towns.

Interior Upgrades Begin Rolling Out Across United Fleet

United Airlines is in the midst of a major initiative to modernize its fleet over the next several years. After first announcing the plan in 2021, planes fitted with United’s signature interior are finally beginning to appear across the airline’s narrowbody fleet of Boeing and Airbus planes. United flyers are sure to notice these enhancements from the moment they step on board: Each new or updated plane sports remodeled seats, seatback entertainment screens for everyone, Bluetooth connectivity and more, all adding up to a better experience on every journey.
