When you’re in Nashville, touring Music City’s global landmark addresses such as the Grand Ole Opry, Ryman Auditorium and Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum is a no brainer. Bringing your family? Enhance the experience for everyone by unpacking in one of the 533 guestrooms and suites housed in the soaring glass tower of JW Marriott Nashville, where the roster of family-friendly offerings includes the brand-new outdoor film venue, The Green at JW. This 17,000-square-foot space will play host to the summer’s partnership with Sony Pictures and Sony Music Nashville with a great lineup of activities and high-definition screenings under the stars that come with vintage-esque picnics. Some of the films in the summer line-up are beloved family classics including Ghostbusters, 13 Going on 30, A League of Their Own and Big Daddy.

You can keep your crew both active and happily fed with Goat Yoga & Brunch sessions on the first Saturday of each month, when The Green is transformed into a wellness space where a delightful and fully engaging goat yoga program is offered in partnership with Shenanigoats. These trendy stretch-and-play sessions are punctuated with interactive experiences with sweet baby goats that nuzzle and climb among participants. If you prefer, you can get your yoga without the wildlife component during poolside yoga classes that take place in a quiet area of the rooftop pool deck.

Summer also means Wellness Wednesdays. Guests who book a 50-minute spa session receive a complimentary manicure and a glass of wine to enhance their experience. Nibbles include wholesome snacks and water infused with fruit, plus a selection of fresh fruit and delicious, bespoke granola from the hotel’s on-site Stompin’Grounds Market.

While you’re in town, make time to take in some of the city’s outstanding family attractions. At the Adventure Science Center, Soar Adventure Tower lets you and your kids experience an elevated version of Nashville from the vantage point of platforms set at a variety of age-appropriate heights positioned above the ground, with the highest level a heady 45 feet. Navigating the park’s collection of bridges, ladders and decks helps build confidence while facilitating teamwork and family cooperation in an excitement-inducing setting.

Guided city trolley tours for groups include guides who share history, fun behind-the-scenes stories and fascinating anecdotes about Nashville. At the Musician’s Hall of Fame & Museum, interactive exhibits and plenty of great soundtracks tell the tale of Nashville’s biggest music stars. Over at the Nashville Zoo at Grassmere, families can meet the new baby Clouded Leopard cubs and Cotton-Top Tamarin twins, and discover more of the wild natural world during guided tours with “backstage” passes, and Zzzoofari Slumber overnight stays for kids aged 4-12.
