It’s only fitting for Denver to have a Christmas celebration worthy of its moniker of the Mile High City, and Mile High Christmas doesn’t fall short. Hosted for the 16th year at Denver Performing Arts Complex, locals and traveling families expect light shows like they’ve never seen before, displayed on the tallest pixel LED technology tree in the country.
The seven-story-tall, 39-foot diameter conical structure sits in Denver’s Sculpture Park through Jan. 31, 2020, accompanied by music and festivities. Entrance is free to the public and includes a slew of fun activities and attractions for the family. Take pictures with the kids, dance to holiday music and feel Christmas cheer throughout the entire city.

The Mile High Christmas tree in Denver is actually 10 feet taller than Rockefeller Center’s historic tree, boasting a free, nightly, public show of song and dance for up to 140 guests at a time.
“The Mile High Tree will be the tallest art installation in the history of our city as well as a perfect community centerpiece for bringing people of all cultures together for seasonal celebrations,” said Richard Scharf, president and CEO, Visit Denver. “And, as the newest iconic attraction on the Denver skyline this holiday season, we couldn’t think of a more perfect focal point for our regional holiday marketing campaign.”
Walk around the city enjoying the many festive, seasonal attractions, including the City and County Building on full display with lights and decorations, the stunning Denver Theater District and the always popular, but especially festive 16th Street Mall. Check out the holiday lights at the Denver Zoo, festive décor at Denver Botanic Gardens, Larimer Square, Denver Union Station and the Denver Center for Performing Arts — just to name a few.
