The Lowell

Luxury

How would you like a ready-made Christmas without the hassle of cutting down a tree, bringing it home and building a fire? One hotel on New York’s Upper East Side offers a package to warm the hearts of any holiday reveler who ever struggled with rigging lights or igniting fatwood.

The Lowell, named the No. 1 hotel in New York City for two consecutive years by the World’s Best Awards Survey, is one of the few properties in Manhattan with an interior designer on staff taking the reins of Christmas decorating. In other words, more

festive jolly, less hanging holly.

A Very Lowell Holiday experience includes custom, luxe decor and a personal in-room Christmas tree. What’s more, after the wood-burning fireplace is hand-lit by a Fireplace Butler (yes, there is such a thing), guests choose from a selection of essential oils to drop into the fire for an enhanced sensory experience. Once the fire is roaring, change into the hotel’s signature pajamas and settle into an armchair with a soft alpaca throw and a book from the in-room library.

The stay also features a bottle of Champagne and holiday treats upon arrival; holiday stockings for adults and children; a welcome letter from Santa Claus to each child; milk, cookies and carrots to set out for Santa and his reindeer; daily American breakfast for up to four guests; one holiday afternoon tea service in the Pembroke Room; a choice of Christmas Eve dinner in Majorelle or Christmas Day lunch in The Pembroke Room; tickets to Wollman Skating Rink for the family; and a late checkout at 2 p.m. Rates start at $3,900 per night, excluding taxes and surcharges, and must be booked for a minimum of two nights starting Dec. 23 or Dec. 24. For more information check out the website.

Have yourself a merry little, stress-free, indulgently pampered Christmas.
