Although Walt Disney World is set to open next month, with all the rules and restrictions it may be a little while until we are back enjoying some of our favorite Disney treats.
Since Disney closed its gates in March due to COVID-19, the company committed to making magical moments for guests to enjoy at home. One of the ways they’ve created Disney-level fun at home ? Offering recipes for some of its most classic dishes and treats.
Here is a list of must-tries from Disney’s Cooking Up The Magic at Home recipe series:
If you are a fan of Beauty and the Beast, I’m sure you know all about the “grey stuff,” but for those who aren’t familiar, in the song Be Our Guest Lumiere sings, “try the grey stuff, it’s delicious.” When the movie first came out no one knew exactly what “the grey stuff” was — it looked like icing or some kind of custard — but now foodies can enjoy it at Be Our Guest restaurant in Magic Kingdom. Since you can’t enjoy the popular dish at the parks just yet, Walt Disney World released the recipe on its blog.
There is nothing like a cold, refreshing Dole Whip on a hot day in the parks — people go crazy over this delicious pineapple treat! With summer here, there is no better time to whip up and enjoy this fruity concoction at home. The best part is you only need three ingredients; one big scoop of vanilla ice cream, 4 ounces of pineapple juice and 2 cups of frozen pineapple chunks. Add all the ingredients in a blender, blend until smooth, pour into a bowl and enjoy!
Although these are only two recipes for popular treats from Walt Disney World, head to Disney Parks Blog for more delicious dishes.
