When you want to get away without getting behind the wheel, Amtrak has news for you — and budget-friendly news, at that. Enjoy the ride this summer to your next destinations from the comfort of a private Roomette room on Amtrak with a two-for-one deal on select one-way routes.
As part of a new summer discount, guests booking a Roomette can bring one companion along for free. Set the kids up in their own room or venture on a summer city getaway with your partner.
Located in the sleeping car, Roomettes offer guests a quiet resting room with privacy, personal space and added comforts and amenities you can’t get in coach. Roomettes include spacious seating by day, that convert to bunk-style beds by night. Roomettes also include a picture window, fresh linens, towels and a private shower and restroom. Accommodations also include turndown services by a sleeping car attendant who assists with luggage and meals.
Customers booking private rooms also receive lounge access at major rail stations, priority boarding and meals.
While best for overnight stays, a Roomette can offer some much-needed alone time during a long day with the crew.
Shop Roomettes here or go mobile with the Amtrak app. Book July 7–17 for trips July 13–Sept. 30 on routes around the country, including New York–Savannah, Georgia ($416); Washington, D.C.–Chicago ($319); Chicago–Denver ($365); Oakland, California–Seattle ($352); Atlanta–New Orleans ($243); Chicago–Minneapolis/Saint Paul, Minnesota ($193); and Boston–Chicago ($402).
