Haddonfield, New Jersey, is a great town to visit with the whole family. Located in southern New Jersey, the historic town is home to cultural attractions, historical landmarks and more than 200 restaurants and shops.

Many of Haddonfield’s popular attractions are along Kings Highway East, the town’s main street. Spend some time wandering the charming side streets, with numerous retailers off the beaten path. Tanner Street, Mechanic Street and Kings Court boast various boutiques and restaurants.

If your kids love dinosaurs, make sure to visit Haddy the dinosaur. The 12-foot statue on Kings Highway East commemorates the discovery of the first nearly complete skeleton of a dinosaur discovered in the United States, Hadrosaurus foulkii. The skeleton was found in Haddonfield in 1858.

Stop at Indian King Tavern Museum. The museum is located on the site of a former inn where many important government meetings took place. The museum is open to the public, Wednesday–Sunday. Admission is free.

Haddonfield has several offerings for the artistic family. Markeim Arts Center offers visitors classes, workshops, events and exhibits in its gallery. Catch a performance at Haddonfield Plays & Players. The group performs a variety of productions, including comedies, musicals and mysteries. Haddonfield Plays & Players also hosts limited-run events and special programs for kids.

There are plenty of family-friendly restaurants perfect for any palate. Enjoy a meal at Passariello’s, The British Chip Shopor The Bistro at Haddonfield. For a sweet treat, grab dessert at DiBartolo Bakery, Downtown Cookies or Gelato Dolceria. Pick up some books and toys for the kids at Happy Hippo Toy Store, A Little Whimsy or Inkwood Books.

Haddonfield hosts numerous festivals and events throughout the year, including Girls Day Out!, Crafts & Fine Arts Festival and Candlelight Shopping.
