Multigenerational

Every year, local artists come to Virginia Beach to put their artwork on display for the Boardwalk Art Show hosted by the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art. Typically, this 65-year tradition is held in June, but, due to COVID-19, it was held in October.  There is no word on when the 2022 show will be held, so keep an eye out!

While exploring the show, stop by the family park, featuring games, live music and entertainment, face painting and more activities for the kids to enjoy. For adults, tickets to the VIP Beach Club section can be purchased for delicious food from local restaurant Steinhilber’s and yummy cocktails by Tito’s Handmade Vodka and local Tarnished Truth Distilling Co.’sbourbon whiskey. Guests can enjoy live music, lounge seating, games and more.

The show spans 10 blocks of the boardwalk, so take your time walking through to make sure you see all the beautiful art. If you are visiting from out of town and have other destinations to visit, block out about half of your day for the art show.
