Where do Floridians go on vacation? According to the AAA Consumer Pulse Survey, conducted online among residents living in Florida Oct. 10–30, 2017, a

surprising number of them spend their leisure time right in their own state, enjoying the same theme parks the rest of us flock to. If you’re a resident, local theme parks bend over backwards to lure you in with special deals and deep discounts just for in-state families. Here are three of the best deals for early 2018, available through AAA to its members. The good news is even if you miss these specific deals, the theme parks themselves also offer their own special rates for Florida residents.

Walt Disney World

Good through June 20, 2018, Florida residents can enjoy a Discover Disney three- and four-day ticket promotion. The special is priced $157.99–215.25, a savings of up to $41 off the gate price for the same tickets. The park also offers one-day and annual passes for residents on its website.

Universal Orlando Resorts

Through a special promotion this winter, Florida residents receive three months free on the Two- and Three-Park Preferred and Power Annual Passes. Prices range $309.99–433.99 and are valid through April 24, 2018. Or buy a four-day pass at the theme park for less than $42 a day, through June 3, and the tickets don’t have to be used consecutively.

LEGOLAND Florida

A 12-month Brick Pass for $99 offers unlimited access to LEGOLAND Florida Park for a whole year.

To purchase discounted theme park and attraction tickets from AAA, members can visit AAA.com/fun, a local AAA office or call 855 222 3864. If you’re driving, you can map your route via AAA, research gas prices, scout out discounts, book a hotel and access AAA roadside assistance with the AAA Mobile app for iPhone, iPad and Android.
