After undergoing a complete transformation and redesign by New York City-based interior design team GOODRICH, The Virginian Lodge opened this month to provide visitors with the ultimate mountain experience in the heart of Jackson, Wyoming. The hotel includes 165 guestrooms and suites surrounding a central courtyard with the town’s largest, all-season, outdoor pool.
“We are thrilled to welcome guests and locals back to our reimagined, contemporary lodge,” said Stacey King Brogan, general manager, The Virginian Lodge. “It’s been an honor to thoughtfully restore and modernize this legend of a property while keeping intact its sense of community and laid-back hospitality, and we’ve had a whole lot of fun. With its unique location on 13 acres and only a few minutes’ walk from the town center of Jackson, the revamped Virginian Lodge is the ideal basecamp to access the world-class outdoor recreation in Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.”

The influence of the mountains, rugged nature of the town and the Western novel of the same name went into the property’s redesign, each detail honoring The Virginian Lodge’s past. The lobby embraces the concept of warm Western hospitality with welcoming signs and vintage furniture.
The rooms and suites feature Mid-Century furniture made complete with warm wood accents to immerse guests in pure Wyoming fashion. Guests can book Courtyard View King Rooms for ideal accommodation near the pool and social areas or the Bunk Adventure Camp Rooms for a special family or group trip. The hotel also offers Premium Suites on the perimeter of the property where guests can enjoy one- and two-bedroom suites with living areas and kitchenettes for longer stays in the mountainous town. Each room features sliding wooden barn doors for access into the bathrooms, as well as oversized racks for hanging and airing out adventure gear.
The Courtyard includes not only the large pool but also cozy firepits and Adirondack chairs to relax and take in the breathtaking view of the mountains. Additionally, the hotel offers guests two new oversized hot tubs and curated activities like fireside s’mores, pop-up igloos during the winter season, picnics and bike-in themed movie series.
As The Virginian Lodge embarks on its newest chapter, the hotel also has more exciting additions in the works. Set to open in late spring 2022, The Virginian Lodge will soon be home to new culinary concepts like Billy’s Burgers and Virginian Saloon, a lounge for parents to enjoy craft cocktails, local beers and hand-selected wines. The property will also introduce the all-new, 4,185-square-foot Wister Hall, an event space perfect for all occasions.
