Knott’s Spooky Farm returns to Knott’s Berry Farm, perfect for younger guests and running select dates from Sept. 24 through Oct. 31. The daytime Halloween celebration transforms the park with kid-friendly trick-or-treating in Ghost Town, seasonal entertainment and Halloween-themed décor throughout Camp Snoopy. Or, little ghouls can experience Halloween with a side of dinner and entertainment at Vampirates at Pirates Dinner Adventure, Sept. 20–Nov. 10, offering a three-course meal with live stunts, theatrical battles and vampire pirates taking over the stage.

Then there’s Knott’s Scary Farm, Southern California’s largest and longest-running Halloween event. It returns this year with 10 haunting mazes, five sinister scare zones, three chilling shows and thrill rides. Offering a more intense experience, The 17th Door returns Sept. 25. Through Nov. 1, the extreme haunted house built around psychological horror and interactive scares requires a signed waiver. Use code VISITBP17 for 17 percent off tickets. For those who prefer Halloween scares with cocktails, The Cauldron Spirits & Brews offers a year-round, witch-themed restaurant and bar known for creative cocktails, French-inspired fare, spooky décor and a hidden room behind a bookshelf.
Celebrate 70 years of Silverado Days Oct. 16–18 at William Peak Park. The free community event features carnival rides, games, live entertainment, food vendors, arts and crafts, pie-eating contests, chili cook-offs and more. Recently added Speakeasy Murder Mystery Dinner Show, set in the Roaring ’20s, is a two-hour dinner show with live music, comedy and mystery. Guests play detective, uncover clues and become part of the story.
