Families are invited to celebrate the holiday season at Grande Lakes Orlando’s winter wonderland. Made up of The Ritz-Carlton Orlando, Grande Lakes and JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes offers a holiday experience featuring events and fun, as well as a few new things, for family travelers of all ages.
This year, Grande Lakes Orlando introduces a new outdoor ice rink running Nov. 27–Jan. 3, 2026, operating 5 to 9 p.m. Located beneath the winter stars on The Ritz-Carlton’s Da Vinci Lawn, the rink offers fun for all ages. It’s also the only resort ice rink in Orlando! After a festive skate, relax by the fire pits and enjoy seasonal bites like baked brie, roasted apple and pumpkin salad, and hearty chili with all the toppings.
Returning festive favorites are also back this year, including Winter Wonderland Market, transforming the resort into a charming, European-inspired village. The market is open Dec. 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27, from 4 to 8 p.m., offering quaint cottages with local crafts, holiday treats and seasonal beverages.
Join Santa’s Teddy Bear Tea in the Lobby Lounge, complete with a selection of teas, delicious sweets, live entertainment and a special visit from Santa Claus. Kids can bring out their creative side at Gingerbread School, creating their own edible masterpiece with the help of the resort’s expert pastry chefs.
Take the magic to the next level and book the resort’s Merry & Bright Tree Delight offer, which brightens up guestrooms with the delivery of a Christmas tree. The resort’s Festive Escape package, meanwhile, gives travelers a $100 resort credit per night, valet parking and four one-hour ice skating tickets.

Nov 12, 2025Why It’s Important to Teach Kids How to Use Maps
The next time you’re on a family travel road trip — even a short one — try giving your kids an old-fashioned paper road map. If you don’t have one, your nearest visitor center will likely have highway maps for your state. Show them where you are and where you are going, and suggest they follow along on the map as you travel.
