“It is important for our ladies and gentlemen to remain hopeful in these challenging times for each other as well as our community. It is about more than the immediate financial impact but also about the loss of fulfillment that comes from providing genuine care for our guests, many who have become like family,” said Jaime Moench, market director of sales and marketing, The Ritz-Carlton Resorts of Naples. “Just as we are all eager to return to a time when family and friends can come together in our homes, the same is true of the reunion we look forward to with our guests. This symbol, shining brightly in our community, represents the hope and spirit of our ladies and gentlemen that are waiting with anticipation for the return of the great privilege we have in taking care of our family of guests once again.”
Marriott Bonvoy launched a Rooms for Responders campaign in collaboration with its credit card partners American Express and JPMorgan Chase, providing up to $10 million worth of U.S. hotel stays for frontline health care workers at no cost. The brand is working with the Emergency Nurses Association and American College of Emergency Physicians to identify those workers most in need of overnight stays. This program will provide about 100,000 room nights to individuals in hard-hit cities including New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Detroit, New Orleans, Newark, Las Vegas and Washington, D.C.
Marriott Bonvoy is offering members an opportunity to give back by donating Marriott Bonvoy points to relief organizations including the American Red Cross, UNICEF and World Central Kitchen.
Many Marriott properties worldwide have given back to local communities by donating food, cleaning products, masks, gloves and other sanitizers to local frontline workers.
