The Miami Marlins recently unveiled a more inclusive ballpark fan experience at IoanDepot park for family travelers and fans to enjoy. New features include a Mamava Nursing Pod presented by Florida Blue. This nursing pod lies on the Promenade Level in front of Section 21 and provides mothers with a private and comfortable space to nurse while at the ballpark.

The Mamava Nursing Pod includes a bench, shelf, electrical outlets with USB ports and a mirror. To access, simply download the Mamava app and receive the pod’s digit code.

Another exciting addition to the ballpark includes a sensory room on the fifth floor. Created in collaboration with KultureCity, this welcoming space allows neuroatypical guests to enjoy temporary respite from the outside. The space features fun items and activities to stimulate or relax the senses. The calming space also includes activity panels, Yogibo bean bags and a 100 percent recycled acoustic carpet. Guests who want to access this room can head to any guest services booth to sign in.

“We’re proud to offer these two new inclusive elements to empower our guests and provide an inclusive gameday experience with the Marlins,” said Caroline O’Connor, president, business operations, Miami Marlins. “During Autism Awareness Month and throughout the season, we believe all of our guests should feel comfortable and at ease while enjoying the gameday experience and hope these integrations will further our ability to provide a higher level of customer service capabilities at loanDepot park.”

Guests can also request sensory bags at guest services to take to their seats. These bags hold a number of items like fidgets, needs cards, mood cards and noise-cancelling headphones.
