As we prepare for the new year, Norwegian Cruise Line gears up to welcome the latest addition to its fleet, Luna. As the latest in the Prima class of ships, families can expect many thoughtful details, like food options to suit everyone’s tastes, great package deals to make traveling with a family budget-friendly and incredible destinations to choose from around the globe.
But you can’t forget the on-board entertainment. The Prima class of ships is known for its on-board game zones, virtual reality zones, epic slides and go-kart tracks (except for the third installment, Aqua, which switched out go karts with an adrenaline-pumping, first-of-its-kind waterslide coaster ride).
Luna will feature the brand-new show Rocket Man: A Celebration of Elton John, with many of John’s popular songs, along with imagery celebrating his decades-long career. Programming for Luna will also include HIKO: Innovation Meets Wonder, a show featuring a blend of artistic formats from Cirque-style artistry to mixed reality visuals. There will also be an experience designed to delight younger passengers, Sea of Discovery! An Under-the-Sea Festival. This first-of-its-kind experience will give kids the chance to follow along on an interactive journey through the ocean with an inquisitive fish who will inspire creativity and exploration through glow games and costumes.
Luna will launch in March 2026, followed by a run of Caribbean voyages starting in April 2026, including stops at Harvest Caye, NCL’s resort-style destination in Belize, as well as cruises to Great Stirrup Cay, the brand’s private island in the Bahamas. The following year, the ship will change course slightly with cruises to Bermuda sailing out of New York.
