Qatar may not seem like your typical wintertime family travel destination. After all, you won’t find many snow-capped peaks or ski resorts in the world’s desert nations, but the country’s newest winter attraction will make sure you have so much fun you won’t even think about snow. From roller coasters and merry-go-rounds to cotton candy and ice cream, there will be something for everyone at this nightly, winter-themed entertainment park.
Qatar is about to be front and center in the world’s spotlight as it hosts the FIFA World Cup next month, and, to welcome the attention, the country offers incredible attractions like Lusail Winter Wonderland at Al Maha Island, the entertainment hub in the city of Lusail. This winter event will have a carnival vibe, featuring more than 50 rides and attractions, along with food and beverage stands and live entertainment. The event will run every night from 5:30 p.m. until 12:30 a.m. on weeknights and 1 a.m. on weekends.
With its Grand Opening scheduled for Nov. 1, Winter Wonderland prepares to welcome guests looking to keep the fun going after a long day of watching soccer matches and exploring the sites. Along with the world-class dining, famous beach clubs and live music performances hosted by Qatar’s largest entertainment venue, all located at Al Maha Island, Winter Wonderland will ensure there is something for everyone.
