Multigen travel continues to rise in popularity. In fact, 71 percent of luxury travelers are planning trips that include multiple generations within one family, according to the newly released Luxury Travel Reports 2025, a report compiled by Preferred Hotels & Resorts. That means more families are looking for creative ways to have meaningful experiences to help them reconnect, build bonds, celebrate special moments and milestones, and enjoy shared experiences.
Preferred Hotels and Resorts offer great places to have those experiences with luxury accommodations that feel like home. The brand offers more than 70 properties across the globe, including luxury apartment rentals, villas, resort suites and hotel rooms designed to accommodate multiple generations of families.
“We’re seeing a continued shift toward multi-generational and extended-stay travel, and our Residences Collection is unique [sic] positioned to meet this demand,” said Phillipp Weghmann, chief development officer, Preferred Hotels & Resorts. The brand continues to expand its offerings each year to give families the opportunity to connect in some of the world’s most desirable locations.
Properties like Andara Resort & Villas in Phuket, Thailand, let families select a luxury villa with anywhere from one to seven bedrooms with your own infinity pool, full kitchen and personal chef in an exclusive gated community. The property overlooks the Andaman Sea, giving you the perfect combination of luxury and family-friendly convenience in a stunning location.
You can also plan a trip a bit closer to home with Amrit Ocean Resort & Residences – Singer Island in Florida. Located in Riviera Beach, this property has a heavy focus on restoration and wellness, as well as locally sourced coastal cuisine, spa experiences, and activities like cooking classes and curated outdoor adventures.
