Seoul Convention Bureau is poised for a strong bounce back from the COVID-19 virus. The company rolled out a new PLUS SEOUL program to offer extra support to the meetings, incentive, conventions and exhibition industry in response to the virus.
Among the changes, the PLUS SEOUL program lowered the minimum number of international participants required to apply for the program from 500 to 200. If conferences are postponed, but still hosted within 2020, the PLUS SEOUL program offers 10 percent more of the pre-approved financial support.
Seoul Convention Bureau established the Seoul MICE Support Center in February in response to the outbreak. They gathered examples of situations, matters and concerns related to the COVID-19 virus, and consultations from professionals in labor, accounting, taxation, administration, management and law are offered to the MICE industry to better face the challenges ahead. The center is also acting as an essential resource center for small- to mid-sized enterprises for hand sanitizer, face masks and COVID-19 guidance posters.
Seoul Convention Bureau believes building a solid partnership now is the best foundation for a strong bounce back. People can remain connected during this time and work together to recover sooner.
