Family travel can be stressful, especially when flying and facing the prospect of having to split the family up because there weren’t enough seats next to each other. To make the travel experience and flight less stressful, make sure to brush up on airplane etiquette before taking off.
Recently, Passport-Photo.Online
surveyed more than 1,000 Americans to gather information on people’s air travel pet peeves. One of the main takeaways from the survey found most Americans won’t say anything if another passenger starts to annoy them; 49 percent just put in headphones to avoid any type of interaction instead.
One of the biggest air travel pet peeves is passengers who don’t cover their mouths while coughing or sneezing. Now that we aren’t required to wear masks on planes anymore, passengers need to be more careful and aware of making sure they cover their mouths when sneezing or coughing.
Other big pet peeves include unwanted bodily contact from neighbors; people who don’t use headphones when watching videos or movies and listening to music on their phones; parents who don’t pay attention to their children and let them run wild; people who recline their seats, passengers who grab the seats in front of them or kick the seats; smelly passengers; passengers who eat strong-smelling foods; crying babies; people who take off their shoes and socks; and people who clap or stand up immediately when the plane lands.
These are just a couple things to keep in mind next time you fly, but if you are interested in learning more about passengers’ pet peeves and proper airplane etiquette, click here for the full report.
