Listicles

Everyone loves brunch, it’s a fact. Just ask your millennial kids, or check one popular restaurant in any given city on any given Sunday morning — there will be a line. When visiting the City of Brotherly Love, there are almost too many great spots to choose from.

Here are a few mainstays even the locals would suggest:

Royal Boucherie

Located on Philadelphia’s bustling 2nd Street, Royal Boucherie offers a delicious blend of French and American cuisine. A great spot for couples or catching up with the adult kids after the holidays, check out the raw bar or stick with high-end charcuterie options in this trendy, cozy locale.

Ants Pants Cafe

Word to the wise: Go early to beat the crowd and snag a table at Ants Pants Café. Expect everything from breakfast sandwiches and salmon platters to loaded vegetarian hash. This cash-only restaurant is great for all ages and an easy choice for a cozy brunch.

Hawthorne Cafe

Whether sitting inside the newly redesigned dining room (complete with cozy fireplace and homey décor) or outside, the cuisine is sure to impress all ages and palates. Choose between omelets and sandwiches, salads, burgers and breakfast burritos, there’s so many great brunch delicacies to choose from — good luck!

Double Knot

Double Knot’s street-level café’s brunch buffet is a great way to enjoy a late-morning meal after dinner and a show the night before or before a day of shopping in Center City. Guests with a diverse palate can enjoy unlimited brunch pastries from scones, bagels and pastries to fruit, Vietnamese noodle salads and bao for about $18 a person.

Fond

Fond’s brunch has been a favorite for the last few years and it may have something to do with the unlimited bloody Mary option for $20. It may also have something to do with the great food and family-friendly neighborhood. Enjoy elevated contemporary American cuisine — think all the classics, but with a fun twist — in the heart of Passyunk Avenue.
