Bell Roads Festival in Thessaloniki, Greece: Feb 1–11, 2018

Head to Aristotelous Square in Thessaloniki, Greece, and join in the ancient tradition of bell ringing during The Meeting of the Bells, also known as Bell Roads. History buffs of all ages enjoy the ancient tradition, originated from hunter-gatherer societies migrating through Europe hoping to cast away evil spirits and bring good fortune, harvest and fertility to the community. Kids of all ages enjoy spirited reenactments and traditional activities from agricultural bell-ringing rituals, parades and performances to more modern events including film screenings, photography exhibitions, artistic workshops and live music. The celebration culminates on the final day with an incredible bell-ringing parade through town while festivalgoers observe and dance in the streets.

Festa de Lemanjá in Rio Vermelho, Brazil: February 2018

From the city of Salvador, Brazil, to the beaches of Rio Vermelho, guests enjoy festive celebrations honoring the Queen of Waters. The Festa de Lemanjá begins with a bang, literally kicking off its first night with incredible fireworks while fisherman and locals prepare the night’s feast.

Stay stateside and enjoy some old-school country, jazz and bluegrass at the Bluegrass Music Awards & National Convention in Nashville, Tenn., Feb 1–4, 2018. The four-night event, hosted by the Society for the Preservation of Bluegrass Music of America, features dozens of performances by nationally touring bluegrass artists.

Stroll the snowy landscape of Odori Park, enjoying incredible ice sculptures and snow celebrations.
