Multigenerational

It’s time to start thinking about where to go for your 2022 vacation, whether a weekend getaway or a longer trip. WalletHub, a personal-finance website, released a report on 2021’s Most Fun Cities in America. Take a look at the list for ideas for next year’s trips.

Everyone looks for something different when planning a trip: Some people go for the food, others the nightlife, theme parks, museums and more. If everyone prefers something different, what exactly makes a fun city? WalletHub looks for places that combine a little bit of everything for every type of traveler.

To help travelers find cities with a variety of cheap, fun activities, WalletHub compared more than 180 U.S. cities across 65 key metrics, ranging from fitness clubs, movies and breweries.

The study found the top five Most Fun Cities in America are Las Vegas, Nevada; Orlando, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; Miami, Florida; and New Orleans, Louisiana.

The report found Orlando, Florida, has the most restaurants per square root of population. San Francisco and Boston have the highest share of population with walkable park access. New York has the most playgrounds, San Francisco the most dance clubs, while Milwaukee has the lowest average beer price and Port St.  Lucie, Florida, has the lowest movie costs.
