If you haven’t planned your summer family travels yet, it isn’t too late to include Toronto, Canada’s largest city. The city is jam-packed with reasons why it should be on everyone’s travel bucket list. Here’s a list of the top three reasons why you don’t want to miss out on Toronto:

The Food Scene

Toronto proudly boasts one of the most thriving food scenes in the world. The city not only honors its own Canadian roots, but also expertly represents international flavors with restaurants and food trucks that offer affordable world-class meals. Eating your way around Toronto is a great way to discover the city while introducing the family to a variety of international flavors. With restaurants, food trucks and farmers’ markets to explore, you can be sure everyone in the family will find something that makes them happy.

An Endless List of Sites to See

From nearby Niagara Falls to Toronto Zoo and everything in between, there is no end to Toronto’s exciting attractions. Black Creek Pioneer Village showcases local pioneering history, while museums and art galleries give everyone in the family something to see, like Royal Ontario Museum and Bata Shoe Museum. The Hockey Hall of Fame is great for sports lovers, while St. Lawrence Market features a historic marketplace, operating since 1803. Recognizable landmarks, like the 98-room castle known as Casa Loma and CN Tower, a more than 500-meter-tall communications tower, make city skyline a memorable one.

The City is Incredibly Walkable

Exploring a city on foot is always a great way to discover its culture and personality, and Toronto is no exception. The city boasts incredible architecture and fascinating areas, like the Entertainment District, Kensington Market and Harbourfront Centre, all of which are fun and easy to investigate. The PATH Network, an underground pedestrian walkway spanning 30 kilometers, easily connects visitors to various parts of the city. Along the way, this underground “city” features incredible shopping, eateries and hotels, giving you plenty to see and do along the way, especially when the weather is less than ideal.
