Celebrate the Fourth of July with a family trip to Destin-Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Home to 24 miles of emerald green waters, white-sand beaches and more, the destination is the perfect place for a fun-filled Fourth of July.

Enjoy the 11th Annual Smoke on the Coast BBQ and Fireworks Festival, set to return July 3 at Destin Commons. Take advantage of the $1 samples from local restaurants and BBQ groups. At the end of the festival, vote for your favorite as People’s Choice winners. Voting helps donate more than $85,000 in donations to local charities. While there, guests can also enjoy live music and the fireworks extravaganza.

Head to HarborWalk Village for the three-day Let Freedom Ring celebration, including a silent disco, more fireworks and a fire-spinning display. Check out the weekend schedule below:

  • Saturday, July 2: 18 Miles Band at 7 p.m.
  • Sunday, July 3: Cadillac Willy Duo at 7 p.m.
  • Monday, July 4: The Manly Hero at 4 p.m.; Silent Disco at the Compass Rose at 7 p.m.; Fireworks and Fire Spinning by Autumn Lyfe at 9 p.m.

Although there are plenty of Fourth of July activities planned for the weekend, don’t forget to take advantage of the fishing. Whether a beginner or a professional, there is a fishing activity for you! Go inshore gulf fishing in state waters or offshore gulf fishing in federal waters.
