Head to Cold Coast Brewing Co. for Food Truck Fridays, held throughout the year from 5 to 8 p.m. The weekly event features a rotating lineup of up to a dozen food trucks offering sweet and savory options. Also taking place throughout the year, go on a tour of historic Fabing-McKay-Spanne House. The restored 1875 farmhouse takes visitors back in time for an authentic view of Lompoc’s history. Tours take place Saturday, 10 a.m.–1 p.m.
Attend the annual Lompoc Valley Flower Festival, June 25–28. The popular festival features carnival attractions, live entertainment, food, arts vendors and a stunning parade boasting flower-adorned floats. Aviation enthusiasts, check out the West Coast Cub and Antique Aircraft Fly-In, held July 10–12. The event gives visitors an up-close look at antique, vintage and experimental planes.

Stop and smell the lavender at the third annual Santa Rita Hills Lavender Festival, taking place on select dates in July. Lompoc Chalks, a free, community art event returns in October. Chalk artists transform local streets and sidewalks into large-scale murals. The event also features live entertainment, games and food trucks. In December, the city hosts the Lompoc Valley Children’s Christmas Season Parade. The annual parade travels through downtown Lompoc, culminating in a community Christmas tree lighting.
