Two Six Senses hotels in the Maldives are getting ready to invite family travelers to spend the holidays in sand instead of snow. From Dec. 22 to Jan. 2, 2026, Six Senses Laamu and Six Senses Kanuhura feature holiday programming combining festive dining and activities.
Six Senses Laamu kicks off the holiday season with a festive Christmas tree lighting ceremony and cocktail party for the parents. Over at Six Senses Kanuhura, festive cheer spreads with holiday card making, cookie decorating and a beachfront party under bright lights. The big man himself will swap his sleigh for a boat and arrive by sea to meet little travelers at Kanuhura.
Each resort will feature special holiday dining experiences. Six Senses Laamu offers a Christmas tasting menu, lobster beach BBQs, Japanese omakase, Asian street markets and other festive culinary offerings. Six Senses Kanuhura will host Christmas Eve celebrations, tapas nights, Champagne Stories, tastings and truffle-paired dining experiences.
To make the festive stay even better, families staying at Six Senses Laamu can explore the destination through dolphin cruises, sandbank picnics, guided reef snorkeling and coral restoration projects. Guests at Six Senses Kanuhura can enjoy activities like water sports, parasailing, diving with Deep Blue Divers and Earth Lab sustainability workshops.
