Family travelers and fans of the hit Disney movie Lilo & Stitch will be delighted to hear Grand Wailea, A Waldorf Astoria Resort just partnered with Hawai’i-born actress Sydney Agudong, known for her role as Lilo’s sister Nani, and Cosmic Bliss, a plant-based soft serve company, to create her own exclusive sundae, Island Buzz.

Guests and locals alike can find Island Buzz at the hotel’s wellness-focused artisanal café, Loulu. The delicious desert pays homage to Agudong’s home island, Kaua’i. Agudong took inspiration from the local flavors and ingredients she grew up with on Kaua’i.

“Kauaʻi will always have a special place in my heart, so I was excited to honor my home island through this exciting collaboration with Grand Wailea,” said Sydney Agudong.

The Island Buzz features a local coffee crumble made with butter, cane sugar, almond flour, cocoa powder and coffee grounds, in honor of the coffee farms Kaua’i is known for; Big Island chocolate-dipped Kiawe macadamia nut biscotti, to add a Hawaiian touch with macadamia nuts and kiawe flour; coconut coffee glaze, made with brewed coffee, sugar and coconut syrup; and fresh liliko’i, also known as passionfruit, for a tropical finish.

The creation will be garnished with local edible flowers to represent the lush landscapes and bold flavors of Kaua’i.
