Vicksburg, Mississippi, is home to the state’s most haunted house. The pre-Civil War house is home to at least 14 ghosts. Take a history or haunted tour, or arrange a private investigation. Vicksburg National Military Park is the site of one of the bloodiest battles of the Civil War. Visitors report smoke coming out of cannons, sculptures weeping blood, spectral soldier sightings and the scent of gunpowder in the air.
