Looking for a unique family travel idea? Check out hot springs all over Wyoming. The natural hot springs in this destination are treasured attractions, once used by Native American tribes, mountain men, early pioneers and settlers for thousands of years. The state has been known for Boiling Hot Springs in Yellowstone, but Wyoming is actually home to many other springs in all different areas, making them easily accessible for families wanting to skip crowded parks.
Travelers can visit a variety of hot springs in towns such as Thermopolis, Saratoga and Jackson Hole.
Thermopolis
Hot Springs State Park is home to three pools, including Wyoming State Bath House, free and open to the public, as well as Star Plunge and Hellie’s TePee Pools. While visiting Hot Springs State Park, check out the remarkable rainbow terraces, bison herds and a swinging bridge for guests to take in beautiful views of the park.
Saratoga
This town in Wyoming is home to Saratoga Hot Springs Resort, as well as a free public soaking hot spring. The resort combines lodging, dining and natural hot springs for a peaceful retreat.
Jackson
Jackson, Wyoming, offers guests Granite Hot Springs and Astoria Hot Springs, both bringing travelers serenity in the heart of nature. Granite Hot Springs is open year-round, but winter guests can only reach it by snowmobile, dog sled, skiing or fat-tire biking.
