In addition to treasured family time together, setting sail over Thanksgiving means someone else does the cooking and cleaning up! Not only can you enjoy a traditional Thanksgiving meal with loved ones and new friends, but do so in a different setting than to which you’re accustomed.
Dressed in their traditional Thanksgiving attire, Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse will greet you onboard select Disney Cruise Line Thanksgiving at Sea sailings this month. In addition to a traditional turkey dinner, you’ll be able to catch the big games through live football broadcasts on the jumbo LED screens located near the onboard family pools. Not only that, but you’ll also get to enjoy the magic offered on Very Merrytime Cruises, too, so the holiday spirit continues.
Carnival Cruise Line’s Fantastic Thanksgiving Cruises get in on the fun also on its sailings over Thanksgiving. Indulge in the tasty turkey dinner you’ve waited all year to dig into, and then have a family fun night filled with trivia or a fun, onboard duck “hunt.” You can get your parade fix, too, since one of Carnival’s Thanksgiving traditions is to screen it at sea.
From the Caribbean to the Panama Canal, the Mediterranean and even the Canary Islands, Norwegian Cruise Line is celebrating Thanksgiving (nearly) around the world. Though you’ll feel a world away, the ships’ festive menus filled with sumptuous dinner and dessert options will redefine the classic American holiday.
An elaborate feast, complete with all the trimmings, will be enjoyed in the dining rooms aboard Princess Cruises’ Thanksgiving sailings. A turkey-calling contest adds to the festivities, as does watching the game on the Movies Under the Stars outdoor big screen. Take some time to give thanks by adding a note to the cruise line’s annual Tree of Thanks.
A Thanksgiving Festival will be held on the Lower Mississippi River onboard American Queen Steamboat Company’s namesake American Queen. In addition to sailing the Might Mo from Memphis to New Orleans, or vice versa, you’ll enjoy a delectable Thanksgiving dinner, fun enrichment activities and nightly entertainment as part of the steamboat’s uniquely American holiday.
This Thanksgiving, why not leave the cooking to someone else so you can enjoy time reconnecting with family.
