Known for its rebellious side, it’s no wonder why an Irish prison tour would be so appealing to travelers. Head to Cork City, Ireland, and hit the Gaol Heritage Centre with a tour through true-to-life exhibits. Stroll through the castle-like building once home to 19th-century prisoners complete with wax figures, fully furnished cells and sound effects. With such a rich political history and famous rebellions, independence and political strife, Ireland is a gold mine of prison history. This particular gaol housed many of Ireland’s most famous freedom fighters and is a unique and fun way to learn more about modern Irish history.

United Continues Its Global Expansion
